A really sporty couple
Although Réka and Gábor both went to the University of Physical Education, they did not meet during their school years, but later, when Gábor was doing his Master's degree by correspondence and Réka was spending her last months at school.
The first place they met was in the university gym, and that is what they both remember, even though they never spoke a word to each other, but the first glimpse of each other left a deep impression on them both.
Their next meeting took place at a university party, where they saw each other again and were introduced.
The rest is history...:-)
Engagement in Athens
The weekend before the trip, Gábor had already officially asked Réka's parents for permission to propose, but luckily Réka knew nothing about it.
Finding the right ring was not an easy task, as Réka had never worn a ring before and time was short, but luckily Gábor managed to solve this challenge well.
What he was afraid of was that the box with the ring would somehow turn up during the check at the airport, because Réka likes to pack things in the bag afterwards.
Luckily, everything turned out well, so it was a real surprise for Réka, who of course happily said yes
And I was already approached with the invitation to be the officiant at their wedding. :-)
Two people who fit together
I love that I can get to know the couples when I talk to them, and often we have things in common outside of the wedding ceremony that we like to talk about.
With Reka and Gábor, that topic was football :-)
This topic came up by chance, but it turned out that we have a lot of common friends and all three of us like football, well, they both know a lot about it, because
their profession is related to this sport.
The wedding day
Their wedding was held in Csolnok at the Pollushof Pension, and luckily we were able to hold their wedding ceremony outdoors despite the gathering clouds.:-)
