The wedding ceremony leader - Everything you need to know about wedding officiating

The wedding ceremony leader - Everything you need to know about wedding officiating

When should you hire a celebrant instead of a registrar on your wedding day?

A celebrant is the best choice for you if it is important that you can choose the best one for you, and you don't want to accept that the registrar working that day will marry you at your wedding.

It's worth choosing a celebrant, even if you want your wedding ceremony to be personal, if you don't want to hear the same clichés that everyone knows.

A celebrant is also recommended if you want a truly beautiful and professional performer to conduct your wedding ceremony, who will write unique and personalised texts for you and pay close attention to everything around the ceremony to ensure it is perfect.

A celebrant is also a good choice if you don't want to compromise on anything and want the freedom to choose the location and time of your wedding ceremony, whether it's on a Sunday or a bank holiday, at any time of the day. The officiant will adapt to the time and place of your choice any day of the week.

With the help of the officiant, you can have your dream ceremony before or after the official 'yes' is said. You just need to go to the municipal office before or after your big day, when you and the two witnesses are available - at a pre-arranged time - and sign the necessary papers in front of the registrar in a few minutes to ensure that your marriage is legally recognised.

A ceremony leader is recommended for couples who want to experience the 'yes' at their wedding in a more sophisticated way than most registrars can provide.

    Price of a celebrant

Many people think that a ceremony with a wedding officiant is more expensive than one with a registrar. This is not true. You have to pay for wedding ceremonies conducted by a registrar at an off-site location. So, if you want to have your ceremony outside a municipal ceremony hall, it will cost on average between 70-150.000,- Ft and you will not get any other extra services or attention.

What's really special is that I, as your ceremony leader, will perform your dream ceremony in two languages.  The Hungarian-English ceremonies are for couples where one of the couple members is not of Hungarian nationality, who live abroad, or who have already married abroad, but who would like to celebrate their wedding ceremony in Hungary, where there are foreign guests at the wedding. In addition to the possibility of conducting the ceremony in English, all other services are also provided, from a personal ceremony to a professional performance.
